Laser cutting or engraving is a method which makes use of laser light to engrave objects. This kind of laser engraving is known as laser cutting. This method is more accurate than other methods as it doesn’t require any moving components or gears. In CEL laser engraving, the laser beam is sent continuously across the workpiece. The line width is adjusted to the thickness of your workpiece. The computer program allows the position and angle to be controlled automatically. This allows the workpiece’s movement to be precise and stable, without any manual effort.

Another important aspect to be considered when buying laser engraving equipment is the lens focal length. Lenses determine the depth of the laser pattern that is projected onto the workpiece. A longer focal length lens produces more detail on the engraved metal, and stops blurring.

A mixed laser cutting machine ( MLB ) involves the use of a high-power CO2 laser tube that is coupled with an optical feed. A co2 laser tube with high power can produce stronger and more intense light than a standard fibre optic tube. This makes it easier to cut with greater precision. Fiber optic feed enables two-way laser communication that is synchronous between co2 laser tube (and the computerized CNC machine). Due to the high-power of the co2 laser tube, the precise patterns created are of a better quality than those made by a conventional CNC machine. To create more refined pieces, some companies combine with a standard CNC machine and an MLT (medium-laser cutting) system. Fiber Optics and a High-power Co2 Laser Tube. The combination of these two technologies allow an excellent quality of cut-depth as well as output power, and the precision of the final product is similar to that of a traditional CNC machine. The primary difference between a CNC machine and a MLT is that the latter produces focused beams, meaning they operate in one direction. Due to their focused output that is why the high-power fiber optic output of a CNC machine is not required, and therefore it does not necessary rely on a correlated laser focus. The output of a CNC machine’s laser beam directly influences the movement of a drill bit. This allows the system to be more precisely controlled. However, due to the above dependence on a laser focal that is correlated and the laser’s output power and not the fiber optic feed, the accuracy of the cut depends on the output power of the laser.
